I have taken my wife Karen to the dentist twice in the past week, both times it appears Dentists Love their Porsche cars also !

Dr marchack drives the one family owned lifelong California car bought new at Glendale Porsche,with a little under 30,000 miles...

Dr Stephens drives the 89 -Turbo ,owned it since 1991.....

2014 CAYMAN S

Earlier in the week the kind folks at PCNA loaned me a 2014 cayman S for a few days,

 

naturally the first thing i did was run to the hills !

 

Angeles Crest Hwy -that is.....

ACH is my go to road, and the perfect place to shake down any car

 with 325 HP on tap & 275 ft lb of Torque the 981S is blast to drive,add great handling ,rapid fire shifting & awesome brakes-

it sure is a fast fun ride....

a quick stop at Newcombs ranch...

 pushing further up to 7018 ft...

we found a little snow.....

in no time i had 300 miles on the car,

the rest of the week was a lot of fun also :)

in short the cayman S is one of the most fun ,best handling cars i have driven in a long time...

the missing piece to my puzzle -just found me

as some of you may know one of my goals was to have 1 of each year 911 from the years 64-73...

well after i found my 64-911 a few years back ,i shifted my focus to chasing early 3.0 liter Turbos & stopped chasing the one missing year i had yet to own -the 73-911..

 

sometimes when you stop chasing something -it just pops up !

 

 thru my buddy Jon ,a numbers matching lifelong California 73.5 CIS T just happened to find me !

not Necessarily the car i would have chased ,yet the 73.5 CIS T is quite a rare US only car & the forerunner to the 2.7 motor that came in the G body cars of 74-77.....

so now my 64-73 jigsaw puzzle is complete...

i just put 125 miles on the car driving it back to LA.

the car ran great ,espically as it had sat for some time

not too sure what i am going to do to  it just yet.......

only time will tell.........

another day another shoot 67S On the east side

just finished another shoot with cool Brit dude Andy Tipping 

for an upcoming Total 911 Shoot...

 

this time with the 67S.

 shot on the east side of the river for a change.

 Andy is a cool dude to have a bear with....

now if i could only get him to stop taking REAL pictures with

his Cannon & use an I phone :)

karen & i just spent 2 days up in SF.
